Canada Language Ability

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) needs the Federal Skilled Workers to prove their language skills by taking the language tests. Knowledge of English, French or both helps migrants in the Canadian job market.

Results of the paid language test are a must for the processing of application for migration to Canada. CIC accepts original test results for English, French or both from an approved agency to be submitted along with the application. Photocopies aren’t accepted. Also the test results must not be more than two years old. It is noteworthy that the candidates must first apply for the test and then pay the associated fee to the relevant agency.

The approved tests for English language include International English Language Testing System (IELTS), under which the General Training Module is applicable and also recently PTE Core is also added along with CELPIP.
