Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) charges a visa fee for processing of applications from potential migrants.
Besides the visa processing fee, immigration related expenses could include:
- Medical examinations
- Police certificates and
- Language assessments
The visa fee can be paid in Canadian dollars or Indian rupees. This can only be paid as valid demand (bank) drafts, money order or certified cheques. Since these may have limited validity, checking the expiry date is a must. Cash is not an acceptable mode of payment. Credit cards (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®) can also be used.
Processing fee is payable for the principal applicant and other accompanying family members.
As per the current fee schedule, the skilled workers need to pay the following for permanent residence along with their applications:
Skilled Worker, Provincial Nominee, Family Class | CANADIAN DOLLARS
Principal Applicant | 1525 CAD
Spouse/Dependant 18 years and over | 1525 CAD
Biometrics for adults > 18 years | 85 CAD (per each)
Dependant under 18 years | 260 CAD |
